Hi guys, how have you been? I can’t believe that (more like I don’t want to believe) Indigo’s turning 6 months and she is definitely the best thing could ever happen to us. (Us being born is pretty awesome too) These past 6 months, she is certainly growing with that “watch me what I can do” attitude and I think it deserves to be documented about how brilliant she is. Proud mom, I know. So here comes the warning, there will be tons of baby photos below. Don’t freak out. Don’t roll your eyes, I can see them alright?!
Despite how fast the maternity leave diminishing, I still feel pretty fuzzy about the whole baby thing. I meant, it just still feel like …..a dream. A dream with a big scar on my belly, a dream with lots carpet stains, a dream that I am not sure about what I am doing every day, and a dream that I constantly question myself about who I am. I can’t deny that there are days I debate myself between “you can do better” and “don’t beat yourself up” situations, and meanwhile, time just slipped away while I am proving that I am not schizophrenic. And I am super lucky that Indigo’s a fantastic sleeper, mom’s sanity is definitely a good investment for her upbringing I would say!
Anyway, as usual, read the captions to see what she’s been up to!
Stay rolling,
xxx Aka

Only the wall is her limit

She has tasted both mine and Andrew’s shoes. Yuck, I know ….

And that’s the sign that I think she’s going to crawl soon.

I think the beauty standard of babies is how many wrinkles on their waistlines. Too cute

Lucky she’s not that skinny otherwise might be dangerous to get her out

She hasn’t really have a favourite toy yet, her favourite would be Andrew I would say…

Some days she really cries a lot. I googled it and guess it’s just a phase that many parents would experience. She sleeps well at night still, just during the day, she shrieks a lot and even cries in my arms…And you can see my baby fat is still attaching my arms inseperably.

Squirmy to another level

Seriously, she bang on quite a few things and she normally just keep going. So I even pulled down the bumper. And she’s been fine. (Shrug)

Because she is watching me capturing her all the time too…

She’s getting use to water now. Love splashing the water!

Sometimes she would play in her cot after she woke up from naps till she got bored. It’s good but why can’t she does the same other times?

It’s amazing how her look changes since she’s born. She looks nothing like her passport…

The 4 months regression only kicked in a little bit when she started to roll. We are so grateful. Now she sleeps 12 hours a night but I am still tired. Because of Netflix…..

I think most babies have the sign of teething by this stage. But I don’t think she’s bothered that much since she doesn’t really chew on things apart from my fingers. She’s more like a licker. I also cut off her reflux medicine. As long as she still sleeps fine, and her vomiting is getting less frequently, I think we will survive.

Even since she mastered rolling around, her sleeping positions are no limits. So I gave her the fox soft toy to cuddle since the risk of SIDS has lower down at this stage. And she loves that fox!

Every day I took her out for a walk 3 golden times. The first 2 are for her naps, about 20-30 minutes just long enough for her to be more stimulated. So she sleeps better in her naps. Normally I just walk around the blocks, in case she’s already tired and I was too far away from home. The last walk normally takes place between 4-5pm. She usually would fight for the afternoon nap, walking around with the baby carrier helps inducing a power nap before bed time. She gets cranky otherwise….
