It was a bit overcast in the morning but bathing in the crisp air and snow caped mountains view were the best morning greetings to us. 

Do you like staying at the centre of the town while you travel? We normally prefer staying at the edge or a bit out of the way to get bigger space or rest.

And of course, crisp cold air suits better with hot coffee. 

Local newspaper. It’s interesting to see the local newspaper while travel sometimes. You get to see what’s going on and different lifestyles comparing to our own.

A little peak of the cafe…

Started heading to the gathering spot at Lake Wakatipu near the casino, loving the vibe with the bike, so clam but with a little energy flowing around. I always like taking picture of bikes when I wander, it’s just gives me a uplifting feel.

It was the third day of our Queenstown stay, and we were all exhausted from previous day (Doubtful Sound Cruise). Andrew’s face basically said everything. Yes, he did need the coffee.

This was where we were about to board. I know many places offer steamship tours, but I think it’s really hard to beat the cruise in Wakatipu lake. Sometimes, we forgot it’s actually not an ocean. 

Mind you again, this is an classic tour which means the ship is normally packed with tourists. Be sharp to grab seats. I prefer sitting outside with the beautiful view, but it’s really freezing. Make sure you have a beanie with you…

Definitely wil want to keep travelling even we have kids in the future. A mom of four, my sister-in-law still made it to travel to China and other places. 

Can’t remember the details that Chase was talking about. His mind jumped from one to the other, from dragon to the other. It’s good to have only imagination rather than iPad games sometimes.

I know, use the guts sound a bit gross bit t’s absolutely amazing to step inside to watch the staffs jumping from the poles and how the mechanic works to carry these much people away from the land. it’s just fascinating. 

What’s in your little head?

A dragon? A warrior? Or just this darn cold wind?  

Seriously, this dude was really creepy. He wore a mask and beanie plus camouflage suits…Well, I shouldn’t judge…

It’s a farm with mountain as backdrop and lack view on the other. How many farms in the world are like this? 

It was the first time I saw highland cattle in person (at the far side), New Zealand comparing to Australia, has different agricultural styles due to the climate…

It’s quite often that we need to look up at this two. As a father to respect, and a husband to share the journey together. What I didn’t know is that at that time, it’s from father and son combo to 2 fathers team.

It’s like in a storybook here. 

What a poser this one

The major stage to show how to shear a sheep. Kids love it and I just quickly took a photo afterwards (We were walking at the back…)

Their garden was another amazing part, I took a couple quick photos because it was about to rain. The highland flowers kind of vibe. Not sure you get what I am talking about…

These two are powered and run by the food, like father like son….

Now the hired Tokina lens can easily squish everyone in one table. 

Honestly, Andrew and I are not a fan of buffets. Even I came from an all-you-can-eat country. But they provided really fresh local produced food and unlike some of restaurants just simply offer fillers. I didn’t take much photos of my favourite sticky date puddings because I was busy eating. 

Because I was eating and as I mentioned before, it’s quite an busy tour so I only took 2 photos as token. Make sure you fight for their sticky puddings, and make sure you have at least 3.
