I am based in Sydney, but also travel worldwide.
My aim is to be in the moment and capture love stories artfully and intentionally. Preserving emotions & focusing on the mood and feel.
You can check out more about my why here.
So last November we visited Doubtful Sound to worship the great nature with our love. It took a very whole day transferring in between coaches and ships to complete this journey. What do you need? A waterproof/ windproof jacket, a pair of not too fancy shoes, a good night sleep (essential) and a mug of hot coffee.(oh wait, they will prepare coffee and tea for you on the ship)
I took probably millions of photos because I was obsessed to try out HDR technique, and way too keen on testing the wide angle lens that I hired. But at the end of day, you don’t need to see every single waterfall pictures to remind yourself of the trip. The other thing is Doubtful Sound is such an enormous region, I think drones would be a better tool to capture the whole beauty…
Finally, below are the photos I took and hopefully you had a feeling of what I meant.
Stay sound,
xxx Aka
Woke up in this misty panorama view accommodation in Queenstown. Rain jackets and umbrellas are our best friends.
Or just taking photos in the moving vehicle made it ultra blurry…
Apparently they are building the bike trail all around the island. Wouldn’t it be great to stop by and enjoy the peaceful landscape and country vibe?
The bus was really new and provided really good view all around the coach.
You can see the most important lake on the way to Queenstown, and it’s really hard to believe that’s just a lake. Also, sun was playing hide-and-seek like crazy, this was probably the brightest scene through out the day.
It’s always give me the feeling that we are away to somewhere far. Like jumping into an unknown adventure.
Just a warning: the photos below gets moody…..hahah
I was really obsessed how the rain cloud changing the shade and mood of the ocean. It’s almost black and white, like there’s no grey area. Facinating.
and here we are, another coach. It’s amazing that how little population, how magnificent this area is.
Apparently they have counted the numberless waterfalls here, and hydroelectricity acts quite an important role in this area. It’s really impressive when we saw this in person, the water just pumped into the lake with inevitable strength…Nature….
The coach stopped by here to show us that’s where are we going to: Doubtful Sound
It’s really freezing on the deck. A huge contrast to the hot coffee and tea inside…
It’s a big community of them, trust me.
Not sureit’s because we were all exhausted after whole day trip, the view looked even more nostalgia to us….
And it’s definitely very home welcoming.
The sky was getting darker, and our steps were heavier and heavier. It’s a very well spent day with family and nature. Now we were look forward to feeding us something hearty!
